An entry fee of € 100 (€ 10 for share capital and € 90 for membership fees) is required when you register online.

Membership conditions

You must:

• Have composed at least 1 work.
• Provide proof for when the work started to be used:
  • Distribution, streaming, downloading platforms (Deezer, Spotify, Apple Music...): a screenshot of the site establishing the availability of the work .
  • Sites hosting content (YouTube, Facebook...): a screen shot of the site showing the number of views. The minimum number of views must be 1000.
  • Concert, show, television, radio, telephone message and other public executions: a public broadcasting certificate.
  • Sound recording or video media: a copy of the commercial media cover on which the title of the work is mentioned.

To enjoy the status of jazz improviser, you must:

• Be a member of Sacem as a composer (see admission requirements of composer of popular music, instrumental works).
• Make the request to the "Reception and admission" service using the form available under "Registration forms/documents".
• Attach a recording of at least one of your improvisations.

SACEM membership is always done as individual even if you work in a group. However, the declaration of your works can be collective. 

Any pseudonym that bears a resemblance to a family name or an existing pseudonym may be refused.

Important: Before creating your admission file, check with Sacem of the availability of the name under which you exercise your editorial activity.

Conditions for membership

To publish 4 works which must belong to SACEM repertoire or to the repertoire of an authors’ society which is outside of France and has entrusted SACEM with the representation of such repertoire.To provide evidence of the commencement of exploitation of each work:Distribution, streaming, downloading platforms (Deezer, Spotify, Apple Music...): a screenshot of the site establishing the availability of the work .Sites hosting content (YouTube, Facebook...): a screen shot of the site showing the number of views. Payment of entry fees

An entry fee of € 300 (€ 10 for share capital(2) and € 290 for membership fees) is required for membership of SACEM.

You may pay by bank transfer to account IBAN : FR76 3000 4019 2500 0100 5012 429 indicating in the motive for or in the text section of the transfer the under name of your publishing activity.

Documents requested for your admission

• The application form and the membership agreement from, dated and signed (1)
• A photocopy of an identity document (front page of a national identity card, or passport) from the individual publisher or the legal representative(s) of the company
• A recent (less than 3 months) and original certificate of incorporation with the Business and Companies Register (the Kbis document – certificate of incorporation)
• Your bank account details (a relevé d’identité bancaire-RIB) in the name of the Publisher 
• The self billing mandate agreement If you are a registered company, please also provide:
• A copy of your Articles of Association. Musical publishing must be mentioned as one of the purposes in the Articles of Association of the company

Documents requested for your works registration

• The completed declaration forms, dated, signed and any appendices(1)
• The complete score in the format of your choice in case of a music work registration
• Any text or lyrics
• The publishing agreement for each work and the contract of audiovisual adaptation rights of each work (if concerned)
• Proof of the exploitation

Procedures

Send to Sacem your application for admission accompanied by the supporting documents, the declaration forms and the operating documents, the acts of accession and the payment of the entry fee of €532 (€10 of social share capital and €522 membership fees).

After receipt by Sacem, your application is presented to the Board of Directors which will decide on your admission. Your membership card will be forwarded to you.

N.B.: The process, starting from the moment we receive your complete file, lasts between 12 and 30 days.

A natural person

You must submit the same documents as a company, excluding:

• the company's Articles of Association;
• the announcement of the founding of the company published in a legal journal.
